Game On! Swansea v Newcastle

Game On at The Liberty
Game On at The Liberty
Good evening one and all and welcome to this ‘Game On’ article which will take us through every twist and turn of the game against Swansea tonight.

With four wins on the spin expectations for United are running slightly higher than they were after the defeat to Sunderland. Confidence is high and the team are playing well together but Swansea will present their own problems for us this evening.

It’s been a rollercoaster for Swansea in recent years with the main trajectory being upwards from scrapping around in the bottom tier of the league pyramid to the Premier League bagging a League Cup success and qualification for Europe along the way. Michael Laudrup is tasked with keeping that momemtum up which when you look at it in certain perspectives isn’t as easy as some make it out too be. That’s longer term though. This is purely about tonight.

As covered in my match preview injury news is pretty good for United at the moment although the same can’t be said for Swansea who are missing both this seasons top scorer and last seasons top scorer through injury. Maybe there was something in the Europa League excuses that were used by Alan Pardew last season?

The game itself is live on BT Sport here in the UK and is also being shown live on a host of overseas channels so picking up a stream shouldn’t be too difficult. Once again if you do happen to find a good stream then by all means feel free leave a link to it in the ‘comments’ section below. Team news will be updated as soon as I get my lad to bed unless Big Dave steams in and bridges the gap once more.

That’s just about it and now it’s over to the lads to do their business. Can they make it five wins out five ahead of trip to Old Trafford on Sunday? Or will December start off like usual and signal a month of struggle for the Magpies?

Howay the lads!

  1. I just don’t understand why Obertan is on the bench.
    Midfielder for defending – Jonas
    Midfielder for attacking – HBA/Marv

  2. Where the **** is Cabaye ? We are carrying 4 players ffs 👿 👿
Gouffran, Cabaye, Remy and Sissoko have done absolutely **** all in the second half

  3. dont think you can solely blame Collo for the goal, Willo was closest to Shelvey and he was lucky as fook anyway

  4. Our limitations all to see tonight having Shola playing. He just has no goal threat at all and to be honest we’ve looked pathetic at the back.

  5. The commentator has just said we are sending on Mbiwa on for Willo. And that will be our “final throw of the dice”
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

  6. Shelvey made a clear forward movement with his head there. Does the player need to go down before action is taken?

  7. We have been second best all night, poncing round in the middle, standing off. Swansea are average at best, but wor lot just aren’t interested.

Just watch how many 50/50’s and second balls we lose 👿 👿

Obertan ****** that up, but Sissoko gave him a **** poor pass to be honest 👿

  8. What a fucking horrible nights work. Two toon players lie on the floor and the Swansea player wins a 40/60 ball.

Only Debuchy can claim his salary tonight to be honest

  9. So 2 pens and a sending off Webbs missed the neet …. Fucking dog ****!!!

Obertan shouldn’t even have a pair of boots never mind a fucking squad number!, that kid will never be a footballer as long as I have a hole in my ****!!

  10. No Bony, no Michu ,we should of really took it to them from the off. I hope we don’t start off so slow and defensive on Saturday. Me and Lew are sat here very underwhelmed.

  11. Its easy to blame the ref, but we have been poor basically
Really poor tactics to start off with.
    And that’s 3 😳

  12. More pathetic!

When were losing a game our manager replaces two defenders for two defenders… Can I ask why?

  13. This is feckin’ agony. Keeping the ball obviously isn’t part of the plan and the few chances we’ve had in front of goal have been ruined by players wanting to take nine touches instead of shooting.

    3 – 0 now. Billox.

  14. which to be fair hasn’t been hard tonight – players already had minds on Man Utd and expected Swansea to roll over

      (Quote)

  15. Tiote and Cabaye just created **** all in midfield.

Goffran and Remy have also been twatful tonight

      (Quote)

  16. Obertan giving the ball away and then strolling around.

Send him to the fucking glue factory. I would rather see Taylor on the wing or up top instead of him now ffs.

  17. @MM
Agree. The rest have been utter ****. Debuchy at least puts in everything he has got.

      (Quote)

  18. Well I’d certainly make changes on Saturday. HBA and Cisse must come in as clearly the players look ****** and have been a bit complacent tonight.

  19. It is torture sitting here in my front room I feel pity for the poor souls who have made the 700 mile round trip to Wales.

Cabaye has played himself out of any move to PSG etc.

  20. Pardew and Troy got it wrong
Playing the same tired team was a mistake
Troy must be squirming in his laundry basket
    oh the embarrassment 😳
I wonder if he is man enough to admit he was wrong ❓
    Probably not

  21. We’ve not been good enough in a very area of the park. That scoreline suggests Swansea have been **** hot. They haven’t. They haven’t needed to be.

It’s not the end of the world. We were never good enough to maintain that kind of form and so it has proven. Doesn’t mean the wheels are off the wagon though.

  22. Well thats one hell of a wake up call to a team that are no better than average,

Not one positive to take from the game tonight.

Absolute ****. waiting for Pardews excuses, long travel, foreign country, tired after Saturday, injuries before the game started, bets he’s got one.

      (Quote)

  23. Well we need to pray for wins at Palace and Stoke cause the other 3 this month will be very hard to beat.

      (Quote)

  24. Can’t understand Pardews decisions tonight, we already talked about all this pre-match. Haidara has looked well off the pace… Why take Williamson off for M’biwa when Sammy could replace someone? He should have changed it and started 5 in midfield, resting Shola the statue for Man U where 4-4-2 would be more effective. Bottled it tonight… still have the same doubts about his ability..

      (Quote)

  25. Toonsy what form, OK we won a few games, but Spurs are getting stuffed off all and sundry, Liverpool have scored 4 against Norwich.

We have been in cockoo land for a few weeks, its back to reality now.
