Game On! Manchester United v Newcastle United

Game On at Old Trafford
Game On at Old Trafford
Good morning one and all. Its an early start today as two United’s clash at Old Trafford. Those two being Manchester and Newcastle United.

Oncs upon a time those two United’s used to be rivals and went toe-to-toe for the Premier League crown.

We fluffed it whilst the Red Devils didn’t and the rest is, as they say, history. Manchester United went from strength to strength whilst we fell away, but there will always be a part of me that is left wondering “what if”. What if we did hold out? Where would we be now? Would we have been able to take a seat near the top of the Premier League table for a more sustained period?

I guess it doesn’t really matter now. That was many years ago now but today is all that matters. As detailed in my match preview, Manchester United have been shaky so far this term but they do have a habit of performing against us.

They are without Wayne Rooney, who again has a habit of performing against us, but they still have dangerous players. Check out the full team news below.

The match itself is being broadcast here in the UK via BT Sport and is also being shown worldwide so picking up a stream should be fairly easy. If you do find a good stream then by all means feel free to leave a link to it in the ‘comments’ section below.

On paper there has never been a better time to play at Old Trafford but I’m still not expecting anything. A better performance than what we saw at Swansea would be a start though.

Howay the lads!

  2. Players mustn’t get cocky.

Ben Arfa – so much talent. He has the opposition clueless as to what he’s doing next. Unfortunately his team mates are clueless as to what he wants them to do or where to make runs too.

  3. There are huge gaps in Man United defense and we have players trying to play keep ball in the corner with 20 mins remaining.

  4. Decent change actually. Cabs in gutted.

Shola can play where he is actually decent and doesn’t have to be mobile. Around the halfway line.

  5. For once I agree with Owen, Debs MOTM, without a doubt superb defensive clearences and play all game.

  6. Why are players using trickery to waste time instead of passing it about. 👿

Been lucky, but Pards got it spot on today. He even listened to my lineup and formation 😛 Looks like we’ve got the points.

  8. Fucking cracking result.
    Top performance.
Colo showing why he is still our no.1 defender.
Tiote, well, “you’re just a good Gareth Barry”
Pardew has got plan A in tough games down to a tee, plan B needs work for when we go behind. But I’m sure that will come in time!!

  10. We were the better team that game and we easily deserved that win.

Debuchy was my motm Though Williamson and Tiote ran him close.

Ben Arfa was good when he came on and kept the ball very well.

  12. Manure are busted, long way back for that lot me thinks. Poor Moyes looked petrified at times, talk about a rabbit in headlights. Did I say how much I love lunchtime kick offs 😉
