Game On! Newcastle v Cardiff

Game On at SJP
Game On at SJP
Good afternoon all, and welcome to this ‘Game On’ article which will take us through our final home game of the season against Cardiff City.

Tensions are running high in these parts and a disastrous run of form since the turn of the year has heaped pressure on Alan Pardew.

Not helped by his own actions, such as abusing Manuel Pellegrini and headbutting David Meyler, it seems as though the second longest serving manager in the Premier League could be on borrowed time, at least in the eyes of the vast majority of fans anyway. The problem is that a win against the league’s basement club won’t be enough to appease fans and a defeat will only serve to crank up the pressure even further. It’s a no win game for Pardew who is managing a club with nothing to play for against a side who still has everything to play for in the form of Premier League survival.

Put simply Cardiff need to win this game. Our problems are of no concern to them and if it comes down to who wants it more on the day then it will probably be a good day for Cardiff.

Moving onto the match itself… There is no live TV broadcast here in the UK so once again we’re looking for streams if overseas channels. If you do find one then please feel free to leave a link to it in the ‘comments’ section below.

Full team news will be added in below in full as and when it becomes available but for now it’s over to you guys to do the talking. If only our boys could learn to do some walking…

Howay the lads!

  1. 2-1 Remy and Gouff probably Bellamy for them as per

  2. i hope we get Hammered 😯 😥 it will be interesting to see how many stand up and walk on 69 minutes . I really hope its most of the stadium . That will at least let Ashley know he is losing punters with season ticket sales down and a big statement made last game of the season .

  3. Guess walkout depends on the score at 69 mins, if we’re getting beaten 0-2 I’d imagine quite a few will walk, if we’re hammering them then probably a few hundred

  4. What’s the deal with the season tickets? Did people renew a couple of months ago and then the club just gave up trying shortly after? 😯

  5. Toonsy, whilst mentioning Pardew’s indiscretions, you forgot to mention Pardew’s push on the linesman that Grandad Les Kellet would have been proud of.

The team waving to the fans from the centre circle at the end of the game ? Yeah that’ll be right….*******.

Perhaps we can guage the who’s staying / who’s going scenario based on the level of enthusiasm of the “lap of honour” at the end of the game.
Expect to see Remy, Timmy, Debuchy and Collo hoying there kit into the crowd (assuming they can reach from the centre circle 🙂 )

  6. DJG@8, the team gave up when Troy hoyed his season ticket in…

I wonder where the “caped crusader” is today ? He wouldn’t be at the match would he ? 😳 😆

  10. Well all true nufc fans will be hoping we get smashed today, humiliated from start to finish. Something like 0-4 should do it.

  11. The team better score at least 5 goals before 60th min mark. 🙄 🙄

  12. Yes that’s true big D. 😆 What a cluster of a season. Then again, that too is par for the course.

  13. Times gone when we’d get a free kick in this positon and I’d already think it was a goal when Cabaye stepped up. Now we have dummet?

  14. Solano-Sissoko down the right beat his man and cut back across the box, avoided the defenders and shola, dropped to Remy who sorta scuffed the shot and then it went off the defender.

  15. Good short corner but a very poor shot from Remy. Shame, thought we might get summit there.

  16. Cheers Newks.
What do you think on the walkout?
I’m pretty on the fence – usually don’t agree with them but bottom of the league on form from xmas and the board openly accepting and signalling no ambition means that I think something has to be done.

  17. SORRY BART …TOON ARMY FANS SINGING PARDEW OUT ❗ ..OR HATEM BEN ARFA ❗
    I m just proud of that .. 😉

  18. ALL THE DOUBTERS WHERE ARE YOU NOW!? Shola is king! 😆

I suppose all true nufc fans should now be bitching and crying now!

  19. Bloody hell solano… Not like you to support or vindicate that sort of mutiny- good to see.

  20. Anyone realise the cameraman kept showing cardiff manager and not a single shot on pardew? 😯

      (Quote)

  21. Solano-I think anyone paying on the day and then saying they will attend the walk out are fools. The only way is to starve Ash of money but they aren’t accomplishing ****. I also think that the walkout, if there is one, should be done on kick off, or prior to kick off.

Planning to walk out after 2/3 or 3/4 of the match just doesn’t seem right to me. Also, how many of those would leave if we were up 3 nil and playing well? Would fewer leave? If so then doesn’t that just make us look even more stupid in the eyes of the world? And more will go if we’re losing, so just doesn’t seem right to me. Empty stadium from kick off would be the biggest message we could send imo.

  22. Another fuckkng next season with this pards fckn.. tactics hoofball ****… 😥
    Come on…5 years again.. ❗

  23. Cheers Djebs9.

Well, that papers over some cracks, but is it surprising when we’ve got Debuchy, Remy and Sissoko back in the team.

Those planning to walk out need to stick to their guns regardless of the score at 69 minutes.

Their point seems to be that the long-term situation of the club is dire, which is true in many ways, and a home win against the bottom team should not distract them from their purpose.

  24. Pards can kiss feet finger of timy…***** pards save by a finger … the price of liberty… 😕

      (Quote)

  25. I m agree bart..i talk of a price of freedom…draw or lose at home against th bottom …it s hard..but…what can i say..here we are to day…. 👿

      (Quote)

  26. Fulham losing then. Even if Manure turn it around, scum are safe this season. What a shame 🙁

  27. As things stand….

Malaysia Owner screwing stuff left right centre of cardiff soon to be RELEGATED.

    😐 😐

      (Quote)

  28. phuk me, Gouffron, Anita, Remy, what have they done this half ? Dummet and Debuchy getting forward but we need to block out Zaha..

We haven’t an ounce of creativity in our team, Tiote manfully demanding the ball at every opportunity, but if he insists on playing 75% of his passes backwards then it doesn’t achieve much.

      (Quote)

  29. Can’t believe the Scum are probably gonna survive 👿 Poyet will be licking his lips at the prospect of taking another 6 points off us next season. 👿

      (Quote)

  30. I wonder where Troy is today ? Unusual of him not to be posting on the blog 🙂 😉

      (Quote)

  31. I wonder how many will turn off their stream on 69 minutes.

Winning at half time. All true supporters must be very unhappy.
