Sissoko is a bit ‘hit and miss’ for me and I would be tempted to cash in.

Having watched the game a couple of times on video, Mitrovic did really well to get his shots in under pressure and Adrian made a couple of good reaction saves from him.
Mitrovich also set up Sissoko for 2 good chances in the 18 yard box that he failed to convert. No one is criticising Sissoko for those misses.

  2. and a 25 year old thats played in total about 34 prem games aint the experience we need, the amount of time hes been playing thats shocking

  3. Sissoko is better than Towsend but I suppose it might give the team more natural balance and we’re unlikely to get any more offers around that amount for him, he just isn’t consistent enough and he won’t be signing a new deal with us either. If we were to sell I’d want townsend and then another player at least.

  4. Would still prefer a C/B to be honest,a decent c/b would even ease the work on the m/f which would benefit the whole team imo

AMF will you stop buying all that grog for Richietoon and let him come home

  5. if they want to sell sissiko do it in the summer when well get more than that for him to sell 1 of our better players now not be a good sign in my opinion

      (Quote)

  6. I would be very tempted to cash in on him if we got £25m. It would allow us to improve the squad further even after replacing him. Just a bit tricky doing it now in our current predictment. Bit risky.

  7. SIDEKICK ime with you on him mate seems to me he puts in a good game when ” he” wants take the 25/27 mil and invest it elsewhere

  8. <<<<<<<<<<<<< has never believed we would go down this season but sell sissiko and that opinion is about to change

      (Quote)

  9. money they offering for sissiko will be chicken feed if we go down not worth risking the sky tv money for that

      (Quote)

  10. Ice.. Richie is beyond help.. i sent him to rehab but he celebrated his successful completion of the program with a **** up! I tried! 😆

  11. Probably some good points raised there lads. Sissoko does get a lot of stick, but earlier this season he was literally our only creative player. Our tactic was “give ball to Sissoko, let him run, see what happens.” We’re on a high now after signing Shelv and beating West Ham, and yes our style of play can now develop past purely relying on Sissoko, but if Shelvey were to get injured and townsend not to hit the ground running and we lost him we’d be in serious trouble..Some games he is unplayable and some games he seems lazy, but there’s rarely a game where he doesn’t make a few good runs or create a few chances at the least, imo.

  12. It is risky to make a lot of changes as it seems we are just settling now. Another goalscorer to compete with, but not replace Mitrovic.

I feel we have only made 1 change so far and that is to add a creative midfielder to complement our defensive mids who stifled the game when played together. Saivet can bump colback, Anita or tiote if he is good enough.

We know we needed options but they will need time to settle and we can’t just go back to square one. If we get 20 mil in the summer for sissoko instead of 25 now I don’t think we should care that much.

  13. we also looked a lot better saturday so why risk takeing the money and spoiling that 😳

  14. I see Debuchy has said that he wished he never signed for Gunners, glass greener and all that owld lad

      (Quote)

  15. Ice – if Debuchy thinks he ****ed up then I wonder what Enrique thinks now lol, played about five times in the last three years I think 😆

      (Quote)

  16. sell Sissoko? lol you’s are mental. We’re worried about relegation but would happily cash in for 25mil 😳

      (Quote)

  17. Ice you could even add Ba and Remy to that truth be told. Not sure Cabaye wishes he left us either despite Palaces good start.

      (Quote)

  18. who, given our current predicament would sack SM now if Pearson or Moyes were available?

I wouldnt.. give the bloke a chance I say. the footy is looking much better than Parsnip could produce

      (Quote)

  19. I am not sure Pearson is any better to be honest. Also it is not as if you can sack a manager after he has just won…

      (Quote)

  20. Gashley – so you wouldn’t sell Sissoko if we could then purchase Remy, townsend and Shawcross for example? I’m not saying sell to bank the cash, I’m saying sell to strengthen, just as we’ve done with Tiote and Shelvey….. 🙄

  21. for all those having a go a Mitrovic, just remember he is only a year older than Perez. They are both kids, lets rate them after another 2 years when they are 23/24ish. They have the potential to be huge players for NUFC if they are allowed to stay.

The grumpy old farts need to lay off Mitrovic and not judge him after 15 games. if you want a goal machine go and pay 50-70 mil for Kane…or give the lad some time to learn his trade in the premier league. If he can score in the champions league I’d say he’s worth some patience.

      (Quote)

  22. @Newkie. if we had those players in the bag for definite, yes

If we were to sell Sissoko and start bidding on players, No

End of the season fine, but he’s a major part of out survival hopes

    Troy’s his name mate

  24. My view on Berahino is that I imagine other clubs higher up the table will also want him and I think it will be a real bun fight for him. It will come down to where he wants to go and who pays WBA what they want I reckon. Spurs will obviously still want him and that is where I see him ending up unfortunately. The big questions is; who would we get if we don’t get him?

      (Quote)

  25. To be honest Kev it makes a change Troy going on about Mitrovic. 9 times out of 10 it’s Pardew this and Pardew that. Pardew could of done this, McClaren needs to sacked.

      (Quote)

  26. I want to get off the subject of Pardew, my apologies for bringing his name up. It’s a bit like Eric with John Carver and Lee Ryder.

      (Quote)

  27. <<<<<<<<<<<< cant believe some of the fan base would take the money for sissiko considering were we are in the table 😯

      (Quote)

  28. Re Sissoko, I don’t really want him going yet, lets get safe first and he’s an integral part of that imo. If we went out now and strengthened enough to allow him to leave then fine but they are more likely to bank it for the summer.

  29. What has happened at this football club of ours? Signing players we need, rather than just where there is value, still wanting players and even letting the manager have his pick… It’s all rather curious – but great!

  30. if townsend was as good as levy seems to think 😯 with his price tag ,then why aint the dude played more prem games 😉

      (Quote)

  31. he aint as experienced in the prem as alot of peeps seem to be making on im sure hes spent more time on loan at champship clubs than playing for tottenham

      (Quote)

  32. I’d be gutted to see Perez leave the club especially for Townsend who hasn’t played a game since October. It also leaves us with out option’s up front. Should anything happen to Mitrovic. Cisse’s out so is De Jong.

      (Quote)

  33. <<<<<<<<<<<<< which is why i aint to keen on townsend meself me gut insticts are telling me give the dude a wide birth 😉

      (Quote)

  34. townsend was dropped for having a blazing row with a fitness coach. I think theres a bit more to it than that.

I wouldnt pay over 10 for him.

      (Quote)

  35. Big difference between Perez and Townsend. Townsend isn’t even in Spurs’ match day squad and Spurs want to get rid, where as Perez is an important first team player for us.

      (Quote)

  36. Would much rather have Lorenzo Insigne. Regular in Seria A. 19 appearances this term. 24 yr old with 8 goals and 7 assists this year. Left winger..

      (Quote)

  37. <<<<<<<<<<<< is all for selling some of our players but the naff 1s not the 1s that bring something to the team

      (Quote)

  38. Mbemba needs a better partner than Colocini. For me it’s the next season and if worst comes to the worst Colocini’s still on the bench. Please get in a really good CB.

      (Quote)

  39. Good call Prem. There’s much better out there than Townsend. He played well twice for England and that’s it. Definitely no go involving Perez. Cracking goal on Sat.

      (Quote)

  40. Terry – Colo’s been fantastic the last 3 games. Replace next season for sure but not now. The defence is much tighter now mostly down to him.

      (Quote)

  41. If that report is true then tell them to get ******, Perez is already a better player than Townsend, let alone in a few years. He has so much more natural talent.

      (Quote)

  42. So Terry: I think Carvs is an idiot and Ryder is a sycophant who cannot write. The difference being that Troy lurves Pardew. He has poster of him on his wall. I have one also but it is full of dart holes whereas Troy’s is covered in wet lipstick kisses.
