How did Arsenal fans react to Sissoko’s desire to play for them?

Want-away French midfielder Moussa Sissoko has attracted a lot of attention from the media recently after proclaiming that Arsenal is where he’d like to be playing his football next season.

Unless Moussa had his head in the clouds this year (he definitely did), he seems to have forgotten the small matter of Newcastle’s relegation and his arguable contribution to it. But come on, let’s not stifle his dreams.

Much like Sissoko, I of course am looking to better myself. For example, in recent times I have decided that a single life dating medicore women is no longer for me and have decided that Kate Upton will be my next fling (or Jennifer Aniston, I’m not too fussy).

But in all seriousness, a player who can’t acknowledge that he is partly to blame for the Magpies’ demise (although he wasn’t the worst offender it has to be said) and instead of atoning for his lacklustre form by ‘sticking it out’ with a manager who has won everything there is to win in football, makes bold claims of where he’d like to ply his trade next, is not a player we want at St James’ Park next season.

But who am I to dictate who signs who and what player plays where? Let’s say what a small sub-section of Arsenal fans have to say about Sissoko’s desire to play for the North London club.

AMF… why should Andy Mag write an article about French and Dutch players , when A – the cloggys are not there, they are all on the beach somewhere, and B – the majority of bloggers have spent the last season slagging off the same Dutch and French players as being major contributors to our relegation…. 😆 😆

    Now…on the other hand…that the whole Ashleygate scenario, with our beloved owner up in front of parliamentary question time…that this small event has gone unnoticed to the blog.. now that was an article worth discussing …

    I saw that as well. Wasn’t it something like over 100 ambulance to the HQ sweat house in 3mths 😯
    And Ashley’s response was that he thought people had been too trigger happy when it came to calling paramedics out 😐

  10. Kimtoon, a couple of the snippets I saw, at times I took our owners side. Just because you are a multigazillionaire, it can’t be expected that you know EVERYTHING which is going on in the myriad of businesses you run. At the end of the day, that’s why you employ entrusted managers like Mr Charnley, Dennis Wise, Derek Llambias, Joe Kinnear, Kevin Keegan etc. You don’t buy a dog then bark yourself 🙂

    I mean if the owners obviously exceptional management style allowed him to stand back and trust his generals to take a sporting institution like Newcastle United into the second division, he obviously isn’t interested in sweating the small stuuf at Sports Direct. It obviously aint gonna happen…

    A bit like Eric Sykes sending Geordie John a Christmas Card…

  12. You couldn’t write an article slating Ashley and his running of his empire because you’ll be hit with sarcastic comments . It’s out there now in all it’s glory just how shoddy his staff are treated yet still people will brush it away. Can’t stand him or his tat and long for the day he sells up, don’t care that they retained Rafa , considering all the **** that’s gone before it’s the least they could do. And lets not forget we are relegated AGAIN.

  14. mm, He has been ducking and diving trying to avoid that meeting for yonks. It’s been well documented how poorly his staff are treated and I have witnessed first hand staff being searched as they leave work in front of customers. That he wasn’t aware is frankly laughable, the bloke and his empire belong in Victorian times. It feels like he brought this proud club to it’s knees and only now offers it a crutch .
    Sorry I can’t abide him and never will.

    He probably searches his employees because they have been captured nicking stuff from his warehouse. You would think he would employ trustworthy employees, or at least pay them enough so they wouldn’t rogue stuff from their own warehouse ?

    Can just imagine it… immigrant supervisors instigating body searches on immigrant employees, to make sure they are not rogueing stuff to sell on the QT.

    But Saints have released Gaston Ramirez – he played well for Boro in the CCC last season. He’s got talent and I wonder if Rafa could harness that.
