Mike Ashley exposed on live TV – & Jeff Stelling launches brilliant rant at disgraced NUFC owner

When you find yourself agreeing with Michael Gove, you know Mike Ashley has taken things a step too far.

The NUFC owner shamelessly tried to keep his Sports Direct stores open last night in a bid to make more cash – ignoring the PM’s advice, risking lives and the safety of his staff despite last night’s lockdown announcement – and today he’s receiving widespread backlash.

Not only has Tory minister Michael Gove told Piers Morgan that Mike Ashley’s stores should NOT stay open during a live appearance on Good Morning Britain earlier, Sky Sports’ Jeff Stelling has also launched a scathing attack at the Sports Direct chief:

Mike Ashley has now taken back his plea to keep stores open, but he’s not getting away with it.

  1. I never thought I’d see Jeff Stelling use the phrase taking the ****. Fair play to him for speaking up. He clearly has a great affection for northern teams in general and not just his beloved Hartlepool.
