Kieran Trippier has landed on Tyneside in the last few moments ahead of his move to Newcastle United.
Both The Chronicle and a member of staff at Newcastle airport have released photos of the right-back arriving following a fight from Madrid, while Sky Sports have also shared a short video of him pulling up to the club’s Benton training base shortly after.
Trippier is expected to go straight for his medical before completing a £12m move to St James’ Park, making him the first signing of the Saudi-backed era.
Sky Sports also revealed earlier today that he’s set to sign a two-and-a-half year deal at the club, with that expected to include the option of a third year that could keep him here until 2025.
Here’s the photos released in the last few moments, followed by a clip of him arriving at the club’s training ground:
It remains to be seen if Trippier will be able to feature in Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Cambridge, however he looks almost certain to make his NUFC debut in next weekend’s crucial clash with Watford at St James’ Park.
A quality signing and great bit of business at £12m!
