Familiar name now ‘in the frame’ to be appointed NUFC’s new Chief Executive – Alan Nixon

It looks like Peter Kenyon could be on his way to Newcastle United.

This comes from Alan Nixon – a senior reporter at The Sun – who claims that the former Chief Executive at both Manchester United and Chelsea is now ‘in the frame’ to land a similar role at St James’ Park.

The 68-year-old hasn’t been in such a role for over a decade now, with him leaving Stamford Bridge back in 2009.

That said, his links to Newcastle United have existed for a few years now, as he was first linked with a takeover bid on Tyneside in 2018.

He was heading a consortium bidding to buy the club from Mike Ashley between 2018 and 2019, however any attempt to complete a deal collapsed, with some reporting that the experienced CEO failed to show proof of funds.

Now, it seems he may finally be involved in the new era at St James’ Park over three years on from his surprise takeover bid.

It’s said he could also be joined by Brighton’s Dean Ashworth, with Alan Nixon insisting that he’ll take a separate role at the club if he does end up leaving the Seagulls.

  1. Forget about the Chief Executive – WE NEED A MANAGER after watching the past few games!

This is a SHAMBLES with player’s like Wood on par with Fraser = WE NEED QUALITY and NOT Championship players in

After seeing this farce at St James and then hearing Howe go on about ‘WE missed chances – HOLD ON – Watford were FAR the better team and even if both teams took their chances WE would have been beaten 6-2

ACTION needs to happen NOW – we need to get rid of Howe & Jones – Howe is only focused on Fraser and Joelington – at the expense of the TEAM

We still have an outside chance of staying up BUT ONLY if we get shot of Howe – this is comical

  2. Lascelles has downed tools, he is showing no captaincy credentials whatsoever, Schar doesn’t know where he should be or should be marking, Shelvey is going through the motions, Longstaff , Almiron , Fraser try but are simply not good enough.
I said in my last post Wood is or was a good Championship player four or five seasons ago a bit like Gayle and I don’t think either of them will cut it if or when we go down.
Do any of the forwards practice shooting because they don’t know how to hit the target when they get the chance.
Bring young Anderson in and a few of the reserves at least they will have fire in their belly!
We don’t need a new CEO we need a team of quality who can fight for every ball.
