Bournemouth eyeing late deal with NUFC & Howe looking to sign another Man Utd player – Reports

Bournemouth have reignited their interest in Freddie Woodman, according to The Athletic,

The 24-year-old looked set to join the Cherries on loan last summer, but any move was blocked by Steve Bruce after Martin Dubravka suffered an injury setback and Karl Darlow went down with Covid.

Following an injury to Orjan Nyland, Bournemouth want another goalkeeper to challenge Mark Travers, meaning they’ve now reignited their interest in Woodman.

The Athletic report that we are keen to let the former England U21 leave on loan – not only to free up a space in our Premier League squad but to also hand him some much needed game time – and will let him leave if an ‘appropriate offer’ arrive.

Elsewhere, the Manchester Evening News report that Eddie Howe is keen to sign Dean Henderson on loan before Monday’s 11pm deadline.

The Red Devils stopper has struggled for game time this season and has told Ralf Rangnick that he wants to secure a move away, according to MEN.

The same piece states that Howe has been unimpressed by his current goalkeeping options at NUFC, with both Dubravka and Darlow struggling for form all season.

MEN also claim that Jesse Lingard is unhappy that Manchester United have blocked his proposed loan move to St James’ Park and remains a late target – even if the chances of that deal being resurrected seem slim at best.
