NUFC star suffers injury ahead of Wolves clash & Kieran Trippier return date earmarked – Report

According to The Mail, Joe Willock is a doubt for Friday’s clash with Wolves after suffering a knee injury.

The midfielder played the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s 5-1 defeat at Spurs, however he wasn’t spotted in yesterday’s training pictures and will be assessed over the next 24 hours.

As a result, Bruno Guimaraes could make his first start at St James’ Park – although many believe he would’ve come into Eddie Howe’s XI regardless.

The Mail also reveal that Kieran Trippier has been ruled out of our next TWO home games against Wolves and Leicester on Easter Sunday, however he’s in contention to return before the end of the month – meaning our clash with Crystal Palace on April 20th or trip to Norwich on April 23rd could be potential comeback dates.

As for Callum Wilson, Hope reports that there’s a ‘strong chance’ the striker will NOT be risked over the remaining eight games of the season – even if he might be table to return for our final few fixtures.

Joelinton is also one to watch over the coming days after coming off at Spurs with illness. Hopefully that has now settled and the big man is fit to face Wolves in a few days time!
