New photos of all THREE of Newcastle’s new kits now leaked ahead of 2022/23 season

In recent weeks, leaked images of our new kits for the 2022/23 season have been circulating around social media with one of them in particular causing quite the controversy.

Our new home kit looks set to have much thinner black and white stripes than last season’s strip as well as a blue Castore badge and will have a nod to our 130-year anniversary on the side – nothing too spectacular.

However, it is the away kit that has seemingly kicked up a fuss with a green and white strip – very similar to the Saudi Arabian national kit – and both the Castore and Newcastle badge green to match the trim.

Many people both inside and outside of Newcastle fans have been outraged at the decision to link the kit to our Saudi owners, although we are not the first to do so.

Leicester (Thailand), Chelsea (Russia) and Wolves (Portugal) have all had kits manufactured to represent the nations of their owners, so it’s nothing new – but the history and culture of our wealthy hierarchy does make it hard to ignore.

Finally, the third strip is similar to the away kit except with a blue base and gold trim on the collar and sleeves.

Of course the appearance could change depending on which sponsor we have, but the reception from fans – for purely the aesthetics – has been largely positive.
