THREE Premier League games postponed – but Newcastle vs Bournemouth WILL go ahead

Newcastle United’s home clash with Bournemouth WILL go ahead this weekend.

As revealed by a Premier League statement released just moments ago, Chelsea vs Liverpool, Manchester United vs Leeds and Brighton vs Crystal Palace are the three top flight games that have been postponed.

This comes after all 10 Premier League fixtures were called off last weekend as a mark of respect following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

With the Queen’s funeral set to take place on Monday 19th September, Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool – initially planned for Sunday 18th – has been postponed due to alleged policing issues, but Eddie Howe’s Newcastle will return to action on Saturday 17th (3pm) after last Sunday’s trip to West Ham failed to go ahead.

Here’s the full schedule this weekend, featuring the televised games and those that have been postponed:

Friday 16 September

20:00 Aston Villa v Southampton (Sky Sports)
20:00 Nott’ham Forest v Fulham

Saturday 17 September
