Saudi PIF prepared to sanction Amazon ‘All or Nothing’ deal on one condition – Report

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Amazon have approached Newcastle for their next ‘All or Nothing’ series but PIF want to ensure there won’t be any ‘anti-Saudi angle’ before entertaining the idea.

There is currently no agreement in place and PIF do have reservations about the series, but there is certainly an interest from our Saudi-backed owners to showcase the club on a global scale and increase our commercial income.

Chelsea have also been approached to do the series with new American owner Todd Boehly very keen on the idea, but the Newcastle version could come first in 2023/24 should our owners find a compromise with Amazon.

Despite our interest, it seems Eddie Howe isn’t the type to be comfortable working with camera crews behind the scenes and putting the whole team under unnecessary pressure, so it’s unclear as to whether this would be a stumbling block.

If the money is right, Newcastle could be tempted to take the offer but just like the decision to potentially rename St James’ Park, it will likely split fan opinions and hopefully supporters, players and staff are all consulted on the idea.

Just take a look at that line there.

That’s what happens when you ask the kids what they want.
One minute they’re telling you they want teddy bear wallpaper in their bedroom, the next they complain because you didn’t consult them when you got Dynarod in to unblock the toilet.

What’s next? The fans want input on hiring management, and which players the club buys?
They have to consult the fans when they take on new sponsors?

If you honestly believe that a multi billion pound financial institution lets fans ACTUALLY make decisions that may affect their revenue streams, then I’ve got a pyramid in Egypt you can buy.
