Saudi PIF ready to seize ‘big chance’ at Newcastle and Bruno Guimaraes talks imminent – Report

As reported by Mark Douglas at iNews, Newcastle’s Saudi-backed owners are now viewing the January window as a ‘big chance’ to push towards their European goal following our stunning start to the season.

October has been a month of incredible feats for Newcastle – top of the form table, Miguel Almiron scoring stunning goals left, right and centre, the best defence in the Premier League and in the top four after five wins and a draw from our last six games.

With this good form in mind and the January transfer window right around the corner – we play just FOUR league games before the window opens – our owners are ‘enthused’ by our position in the league and are looking to ‘press fast-forward’ on our long-term progress, feeling European football is key to boost revenue streams and attract top players to Tyneside.

On the subject of top players, iNews also reveal that talks over a potential new and improved contract for Bruno Guimaraes are ‘imminent.’

The report states that we will ‘firmly resist’ any bids put in for the Brazilian in January, with the club believed to be ‘relaxed’ about the situation and confident that he will be a big part of our exciting journey over the coming years.

Douglas adds that Bruno Guimaraes is ‘settled and happy’ on Tyneside, but admits that European football could be key to keep the 24-year-old at the club in years to come, with Chelsea and Real Madrid already making their interest known.

  1. It goes to show if you have ambition and the right people, top people running the club what the club can be achieve, unlike in the Mike Ashley era with the “yes men” monkeys working under him.
Everybody who has given this club it’s desire and impetus back deserve a massive round of applause.
