Peter Silverstone releases Newcastle United statement as Toon announce ‘multi-year’ deal

Newcastle United have struck a deal Monster Energy, the leading energy drink company who’ve become the latest brand to strike a new commercial partnership with the club.

A club statement confirms that Monster are now part of the club’s ‘growing family of commercial partners’ and will now ‘enjoy a digital presence at St. James’ Park’ after a ‘multi-year’ deal was struck.

This is the first deal struck by our new Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Silverstone, who has talked up the club’s “exciting and ambitious journey to grow our global reach and fanbase”, believing Monster share our ambitions and can help is expand in new markets.

Here’s what Silverstone told NUFC.co.uk following today’s announcement:

“Newcastle United is on an exciting and ambitious journey to grow our global reach and fanbase.

On this journey, we are eager to align with partners that share our global growth ambitions.

“Monster Energy is a brand that continues to enhance its global presence in the sporting world, and we are delighted to build this partnership and grow in new markets together.”

Jimmy Goodrich, the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Monster Energy also had this to say: “We’re excited to begin our new partnership with Newcastle United. Monster Energy is looking forward to building its relationship with the club and its incredible fanbase both in the UK and abroad over the coming years.”
