Joelinton makes brilliant NUFC admission on Soccer AM – Talks Howe, new role & Toon family

You may have missed it, but Joelinton was on Soccer AM on Saturday morning, speaking to Tubes about all things Newcastle United.

Asked about his famous chant, the Brazilian admits he sometimes sings it in the shower, revealing how the support he’s received from Newcastle fans gives him “more energy and confidence” to keep running those “extra miles” on the pitch.

The big man also talked about his love for Eddie Howe – who he describes as a “great coach” and “lovely person” who goes out of his way to “help everyone.”

Joelinton has also described is Toon teammates as a a big “family”, stressing that everyone in the squad is happy, hard working and eager to improve.

As for his new role on the pitch, the 26-year-old feels his “physicality” has helped him make the transition from struggling striker to a ball-winning midfielder, adding that Howe helps him “every day” in training to help take his game to “another level.”
