According to The Mail, Steve Bruce is set to retire from football management.
After 25 years in the dugout, the report states that the former Newcastle United boss is finally ready to call it a day.
The 62-year-old was sacked by West Brom last October after taking the Baggies from 5th in the Championship to fighting for survival, picking up just 11 points from their opening 13 games this season.
As we know, Bruce left his role at Newcastle United just two weeks after new owners arrived om Tyneside, ending his time at St James’ Park with the club in the bottom three following a winless start to the 2021/22 campaign.
If the truth be told, he has been stealing a living for too many years now and has done the right thing. Here’s a few of his win percentages during his time in management:
- Aston Villa: 45.10%
- Hull City: 40.80%
- Sheff Utd: 40.00%
- Sheff Wed: 38.90%
- Huddersfield: 37.90%
- Birmingham: 37.20%
- Sunderland 29.60%
- Newcastle 28.87%
You missed West Brom. I also thought he managed Wigan?

Brucie-Boy did manage Wigan – TWICE. 1st time around his win % was 34%. I couldn’t find his win % at West Brom. His win % in the Premier League is 28. That MUST be the lowest of any manager who survived more than 20 games.
How did he keep getting jobs?

From my experience Brucie is the worst manager in the history of football. It was the dire football he played, the throwing players under the bus, the luck that he took credit for, the patter, the nastiness to the journos and fans alike. Everything about him shouts c@nt. And yet his pundit pals said he was a great guy who did a great job. They have shut up now though.

Hate is a word I never really use and reserve for Donald Trump, so I will say I DESPISE Steve Bruce.
