Some brilliant photos have emerged on Newcastle’s official website after it was finally confirmed this afternoon that Anthony Gordon has sealed a £40m move to St James’ Park.
Eddie Howe has described the 21-year-old as a “top, top talent”, revealing his delight at landing the England U21 winger: “I’m delighted to sign Anthony – he’s a top, top talent. I’m really excited to work with him, to develop him, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do in a Newcastle shirt.”, he said.
Gordon completed his medical yesterday, also meeting his new Toon teammates for the first time, with the latest set of photos on the club’s official website also showing him with head of recruitment Steve Nickson, sporting director Dan Ashworth, the gaffer Eddie Howe and fellow players like Kieran Trippier, Bruno Guimaraes and Fabian Schar to name a few.
