Shock result on Tuesday night sees two Toon targets stun Spain – Watch both goals here

It’s been some international break for Newcastle United target Scott McTominay, who bagged another brace in Scotland’s huge 2-0 win over Spain last night – his second in as many games.

The Scotsman has been on fire in their opening two Euro qualifiers, coming off the bench to score twice against Cyprus before doubling that tally against the former World Champions last night.

McTominay has emerged as a firm target of Eddie Howe’s in recent weeks, with The Telegraph reporting that we’ll test Man Utd’s resolve with an offer for the 6ft 4′ midfielder this summer. In truth, talk of him arriving on Tyneside hasn’t gone down well with Toon fans on social media.

His form over the international break may have turned a few heads, showing his potentially underrated qualities in the final third, although we’ll have to hope he’s not at it this Sunday. After all, he’s highly likely to start with Casemiro suspended.

Watch McTominay’s latest brace below, with his second of the night (against a Spain side featuring Joselu!) featuring a brilliant piece of build up play from fellow Toon target Kieran Tierney:
