NUFC star spotted back in training alongside two others – Great news ahead of Man Utd clash

Newcastle have been handed a major boost ahead of Sunday’s clash with Man Utd, with Sven Botman back in training after recovering from a viral infection that ruled him out of international duty.

The Dutch giant was forced to withdraw from the Netherlands squad due to suspected food poisoning, with The Telegraph revealing on Monday that the club weren’t yet sure if he’d be ready to play this weekend.

However, photos from the club’s official website show our £35m centre-back trained with his fellow Toon teammates on Tuesday.

Kieran Trippier is another pictured after returning from England duty unscathed, while Callum Wilson also features – suggesting he’s back training again after shaking off a period of illness. There’s no Nick Pope in the photos, but it’s stated on NUFC.co.uk that he’s back with the group.

Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton were also pictured in training, with the latter expected to return after a two-game suspension. There’s no Fabian Schar or Anthony Gordon in any of the 25 images, but The Telegraph reckon both have recovered from knocks and will be available for selection this weekend.
