Isak and Wilson START – Saint-Maximin returns – Official Newcastle team to face Arsenal

The team sheets are in ahead of today’s top of the table clash on Tyneside, where Newcastle United take on Arsenal in today’s 4.30pm kick-off.

Here’s the side Eddie Howe has selected at St James’ Park:

STARTING XI: Pope – Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn – Joelinton, Bruno, Willock – Murphy, Wilson, Isak.

SUBS: Dubrakva, Dummett, Gordon, Saint-Maximin, Lewis, Targett, Manquillo, Almiron, Anderson.

The big news is that Callum Wilson AND Alexander Isak both start, but it’s bad news on Sean Longstaff, who misses out altogether after failing to fully recover from a foot injury.

Allan Saint-Maximin returns to the bench after missing our last five games. As expected, Jamaal Lascelles (calf), Emil Krafth (ACL) and Ryan Fraser (training with the U21s) all miss out of our matchday squad.

Here’s how Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal line up, seeing big hitters Saka, Odegaard and Jesus all start:

Arsenal XI: Ramsdale, Zinchenko, Gabriel, Kiwior, White, Xhaka, Jorginho, Odegaard, Martinelli, Saka, Jesus.

HOWAY THE LADS!
