Brazil boss reveals what’s impressed him about Joelinton as early hints arrive on NUFC star

Brazil boss Ramon Menezes has praised Joelinton following his first call-up to the national side, praising his power, dynamism, itensity and versatility in training.

The 26-year-old has clearly impressed in his first few sessions with the the Selecao and it looks like he’s in line to start in tomorrow night’s friendly with Guinea.

After operating alongside Casemiro and Lucas Paqueta in their last two training games – confirmed by Brazilian outlet Globo – he’s expected to make his debut in Saturday’s 8.30pm kick-off at the RCDE Stadium in Espanyol.

Speaking ahead of the game, here’s what Menezes had to say about his first week of training with the national team, explaining why he’s “different” to the other players in their squad:

“He’s shown himself to be strong and dynamic with very good intensity.

“He can play three roles in midfield and he has a different profile to the players we brought into the squad before.”

Let’s hope this is the first of many call-ups for the big man. His turnaround has been simply incredible and it sounds like he hasn’t taken long to impress.

Incase you missed it, here’s the brilliant goal he scored in training just a few days ago:
