Legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has given former AC Milan teammate Sandro Tonali the seal of approval and assured fans that he is ‘ready for the Premier League’.
The midfielder is expected to be confirmed as a Newcastle player in the next few days with a deal in the region of £55-60m agreed.
Ibrahimovic, who has worked with Tonali over the last three seasons, claims that he now has the ‘right mentality he must have to win’ as he prepares to move to the Premier League.
After winning Serie A with the Swede in 2022, Tonali clearly understands what it takes to win trophies and will be bringing that experience and knowledge to the North East. But the biggest upside of his signing centres around his unfulfilled potential, with many believing he can grow into one of the top midfielders in the world.

“Is Tonali ready for the Premier League? Yes, I think so…
“I made him understand the right mentality he must have to win. And he won.
“He has grown a lot with Milan, he has a great responsibility and he still has to grow.
“But he will make it in England, and he will make it well.”
