Magical photo emerges as Eddie Howe and staff surprise school kids on Thursday

Eddie Howe and his coaching staff made a surprise visit at the seventh annual Newcastle United Foundation 1892 Cup to support more than 120 children who were taking part.

Howe, alongside Jason Tindall, Graeme Jones, Ben Dawson, Simon Weatherstone and Stephen Purches, took time out of their busy schedule to meet with Year 3 and Year 4 students from 16 different schools.

The kids were visibly thrilled to meet the manager and his staff, with one photo (see below) capturing a priceless reaction after one young boy shook hands with the Toon boss.

Those involved were given the new kit and a medal to take home. There was even a display from Wor Flags to try and create a matchday atmosphere at the academy and build excitement for the schoolchildren.

It’s great to see everyone so involved in the local community and it made for some amazing photos which really highlighted how much it means to young supporters to feel part of the club.
