Watch Howe’s Lewis Hall update – Explains move for Chelsea star & asked about more signings

Speaking to the press just moments ago, Eddie Howe has all but confirmed that Chelsea left-back Lewis Hall is one his way to Newcastle United.

When asked at this morning’s press conference where the deal was at, he confirmed it’s a loan deal – which is believed to include an obligation to buy for £28m next summer.

He praised his versatility and “really good potential” after confirming his admiration for the 18-year-old, saying “let’s see what happens today”. However, he added that any move for the teenager will be our last of the summer window, saying there’ll be no more signing this summer unless we suffer injuries before the 1st September deadline.

Watch Howe’s response below when asked about our move for Hall:

“He’s a player I like — very versatile with really good potential for the future.

“Yes (it’s a loan deal). I don’t want to give a one word answer but yes I think it is!

“Let’s see what happens today.

“If we do bring a player in (Hall), that will be our transfer business concluded, unless injuries.
