Newcastle set for hectic 72 hours – Two draws, 11pm deadline and major kit announcement

It’s going to be a busy few days for Newcastle United fans ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brighton, with the Carabao Cup draw, Champions League draw, deadline day and Adidas announcement all to come.

The Carabao Cup draw takes place tonight, where we enter in the third round this year after qualifying for Europe. The draw will be made on Sky Sports, taking place at around 10.15pm after Doncaster take on Everton.

Tomorrow, after the final round of qualifiers, the Champions League group stage draw will also be made, where we’ll be placed in pot four. This is expected to take place at around 5pm on TNT Sports.

We will then have Deadline Day to endure on Friday September 1st. Incomings seem unlikely at this stage, unless we pursue loans following an injury to Sven Botman, but it’s likely we see a couple of exits for fringe men or U21 talents seeking minutes at senior level.

On Friday, we’re also expecting an announcement regarding our kit partnership with Adidas, before we head down to Brighton for our fourth Premier League game of the season on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off).
