Premier League clubs will vote to block associated party loan deals from taking place in the upcoming January transfer window – a move that could block our potential loan bid for Al-Hilal’s Ruben Neves.
A temporary measure has been suggested to ‘protect the integrity of the competition’, with all 20 Premier League clubs set to vote on November 21st.
If 14 or more clubs vote to ban such deals in two weeks time, Newcastle – along with other clubs with multi-club models – will be blocked from signing players on loan from other PIF-owned clubs.
This wasn’t a problem when Watford and Udinese or Bournemouth and Lorient did business over the past few years. No one cared about the ‘integrity of the Premier League’ until Newcastle came along and our ‘big six’ rivals felt threatened! The fact it’s a ‘temporary measure’ also stinks, suggesting our league rivals are now scrambling to make life difficult for an injury-fit Newcastle midway through the season.
Another desperate attempt to block deals that were perfectly fine before Newcastle came along, with this reminiscent of the complaints that took place before our £305m takeover was passed two years ago.
Premier League sides will vote at the next shareholders’ meeting on a proposal to fast-track a ban on loan moves for players between associated clubs in January.
If approved, it will prevent potential deals such as a possible loan move for Ruben Neves to #NUFC@David_Ornstein

Just buy him and then sell him back when it suits.
Surely that breaks no rules?
