New name linked with Newcastle move as Toon scouts watch Ligue 1 captain

According to Football Insider, Newcastle are one of three Premier League clubs tracking Le Havre centre-back Arouna Sangante.

They report that Newcastle, Wolves and Fulham have all sent scouts to watch the Senegalese defender this season, with AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund also keen following his impressive displays in Ligue 1.

The 21-year-old captains Le Havre, but has been tipped to leave in the January transfer window, with FIFA agent Willie McKay exploring his options ahead of the New Year. Football Insider claim he’s available for £20m and is one of the hottest prospects in French football.
