Newcastle set to face Blackburn or Wrexham in FA Cup fifth round – Full draw and dates

Newcastle United will face a trip to Blackburn Rovers or Wrexham in the fifth round of the FA Cup, with the tie set to take place at the end of February.

Serious crowd trouble in Wolves’ 2-0 win at West Brom meant the draw on ITV was delayed, but we were first out of the hat on ITV1 and will take on the winners of Monday night’s clash between Rovers and Wrexham at Ewood Park.

This comes after last night’s 2-0 win at Fulham, where Sean Longstaff and Dan Burn scored to send us into the last 16.

The fifth round fixtures will be played midweek on or around the 28th February. A date will be announced once the TV broadcasters have decided what games will be televised.

Here’s the draw in full:

  • Blackburn/Wrexham vs Newcastle
  • Chelsea/ Aston-villa v Leeds/Plymouth
  • Bournemouth v Leicester
  • Liverpool v Watford/Southampton
  • Bristol City / Nottingham Forest v Newport / Man United
  • Wolves v Brighton
  • Sheffield Wednesday / Coventry v Maidstone United
  • Luton v Man City
