Toon Transfer News

There has been much speculation in recent weeks about a couple of Newcastle United Players. Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak have been drawing most of the attention from rival football clubs. If Newcastle want to kick on and progress the club needs to get into the habit of keeping its best players, but sometimes it’s just not that easy.

Players have more power these days and can hold clubs to ransom and pesky agents whose only goal is to line their own pockets make life more difficult by attempting to manufacture transfers for the clients to achieve this goal.

Possible Players Out

Isak has been touted as Arsenal’s top target in the summer window, and The Gunners are currently touted at 5/6 to land their man, in a bet that would be enhanced by the portal 8888bet. Arsenal have also expressed an interest in Bruno Guimaraes, but they have some serious competition for his signature as Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain have also made enquiries into the talismanic midfielder’s future.

Of course, The Magpies will be hoping to hold on to their two top stars, but the allure of Champions League football next season may prove too much. fortunately, it is very unlikely that the club would let both players go this summer, and if one of The Toon’s key players were to leave it is probably correct to assume that the money will be reinvested into the first team.

Possible Players In

One link that hasn’t disappeared over the last few transfer windows is the possibility of Italian ace Federico Chiesa joining the football club. The Juventus hit-man is out of contract in the summer of 2025 and could be available for a cut price fee this summer if the Serie A giants decide to cut their losses and cash in as contract negotiations seemed to have hit a stalemate.

Barcelona are also monitoring the situation, but Newcastle United fans will be hopeful that playing in the premier league is a factor in the player’s decision, and also let’s be frank, Newcastle can afford to pay for him and Barcelona’s finances have been more than questionable in recent times.

Another name that’s been touted to join The Toon is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian international has racked up 14 goals this season in all competitions and has managed 2 assists. These are impressive figures for a player who is only 20 years of age and you would hope he will continue to improve so this could be a very shrewd bit of business for Newcastle if the deal materialises.

Up Next

This weekend sees Newcastle host basement dwellers Sheffield United. In theory, this should be a routine win for The Toon. The Blades have been awful this season and have only managed to obtain sixteen points. On the other hand, Newcastle have seen an up-tick in from so as long as this trend continues it should be a routine win at St James’ Park.

It remains to be seen if Newcastle will be able to get into Europe next season, but with Manchester City reaching the F.A Cup final and Spurs having some tough fixtures coming up it may well be possible.
