  • Speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow’s visit of West Brom, Rafa Benitez has confirmed that he and his representatives have held talks with the club over his future at Newcastle – Full story here. 
  •  Speaking for Saturday’s matchday programme ahead of our clash West Brom, loan star Kenedy has admitted his love for the ‘amazing’ Newcastle fans – saying “I’m a fan of them, not the other way around!” – Full story here.

  •  According to Algerian outlet Le Buteur, Leicester City will demand a fee in the region of £21m for Islam Slimani to make his loan move to Newcastle United a permanent one this summer – Full story here. 
  • During a recent piece by the Chronicle on Mike Ashley’s current stance at the club, it was revealed that the NUFC owner could be set to ‘take a step back’ from things this summer – leaving discussions over Benitez’s transfer budget and new contract to Lee Charnley – Full story here. 
  • Rafa Benitez may have been discussing some productive talks over his future at the club during today’s press conference, but he also paid his respect to departing Barcelona star Andres Iniesta – joking that the Spaniard’s next club could be Newcastle United – Full story here. 
  • According to Portuguese paper A Bola (and several Algerian outlets today), Rafa Benitez is a big fan of Porto playmaker Yacine Brahimi and is keen to bring the 28-year-old to St James’ Park this summer – Full story here. 
  • According to the Mirror, Newcastle are one of several Premier League sides interested in signing West Brom’s Jonny Evans this summer – the centre-back who has a release clause of just £3m if the Baggies are relegated – Full story here.
