Game on! Blackburn v Newcastle.

Howay the lads!
It’s matchday again, and you can talk about it all here as Newcastle travel to Blackburn for a regulation 3pm, Saturday kick-off.

Nearly 5,000 Newcastle fans will be inside Ewood Park today, which is fantastic of course, but for those that are not fortunate enough to be there this afternoon you can do the next best thing which is, of course, talk about the match with us here on NUFCblog.info.

I very much doubt that we can expect anything as dramatic as last weekend’s match against Arsenal, and to be honest that’s a good thing as I don’t think that my heart, head or sanity could take another game like that. A nice 1-0 win will do me just fine thank-you very much 😉

A quick look at the streams on MyP2P doesn’t fill me with much hope of being able to catch the match, ut you never know and perhaps one of them could at least work. The quality of streams has been rubbish for a few weeks now though, which isn’t good.

For those that haven’t already done so, or for those who wish to do so again, you can check out my match preview and mull over some stats and facts as well as debating the likely team selection for either side by clicking here.

That’s about it for the minute. Hopefully the boys in black and white can end the Blackburn curse and pick up another point, or three!

Howay the lads!

  1. we are looking good, would like to see us take one of these chances though. They look dangerous going forward, their left winger looks a real handful, pushing Simpson to the limit

  2. to quote andy Gray (it hurts to say this, but it’s true)
you need to score when you’re on top.

We’ve played well and would be worth a 0-1 half time lead

  3. It’s a real pity that Jose doesn’t get in more shooting positions, he can really belt the ball…

  4. It’s painfully apparent how much we need a quality striker! All 6 balls in by Joae could have a goal!

  5. Unfortunately from what I’ve seen of the likes of Jonas and Ranger. They are both impact players. Seldom do well when they start games.

Ranger though, has time on his side.

  6. Well we’ve been the better side no doubt. I’d be happy with 0-0 at full-time as Blackburn will come back into it a little bit 🙂

  8. After results today, the bottom three could be set more in stone.

Wigan, Wolves and West Ham would be 3 to four points behind 17th with most sides above them having a game in hand.

Jonas has actually been quite good for us this game in my opinion. He’s obviously not our brightest player when it comes to making the right deciosions, but his crosses and passing isn’t too bad at the moment. He has actually improved his passing and crossing quite a bit over the last few games.

  10. I like Jonas but I do think there’s times where Jose carries him down the left. He’s praised for his link up play with Enrique but whenever something comes from an attack down the left, it’s normally Jose that starts it.

  11. lausbaus, are you watching the game mate ? Jonas has contributed nothing going forward, that’s why Tiote and Jose aren’t passing to him, cos the ball doesn’t stick. Hope he picks up in the second half.

Blackburn have absolutely nothing on their right, we need to take advantage of that.

  12. Munich lay off Jonas he’s played well.
Wor bull having an unbelievable game thus far. Blackbum want no part of him on their right flank either. Everything going down their left.

  13. This panel on my stream are failing miserably to crack “amusing” gags like. “I mean, what do you do? Put Campbell up front for his movement? Har har har”..shut up you daft t0sser.

  14. lausbaus I think with Jonas he will allways give the other team problems trying to mark him which in turns gives our players more freedom 😉

  15. Jonas insistent on using his right foot there. Tough pass to play with the outside of his foot, should be whipping that in with his left.

  16. I think people get on Jonas back whilst forgetting that he is usually double marked, or in the case of Stoke, treble marked.

  17. Bloody hell, where has this attacking streak from Colo came from? Get that fella up front! Forcing a great save.

  18. Joining in a bit late today. Glad to see that wor Bull has been on fire. And colo? Can he double as a striker? lmao

  19. West Brom 3-2 West Ham 😯

Jonas was ***** there mind. He should have jinked out of that foul and got the other player to unhand him 🙄 😉

  20. Jonas was ***** there. He was lucky to skin those two defenders…..

The ref is giving nothing to Barton again 🙄
