Alan Pardew will no doubt be keen to build on the last result in this competition, which was the 3-0 victory over Bordeaux, and will be looking for another three points which will put us in pole position to qualify for the knockout stages.

That news being that Cheik Tiote will be in the starting eleven for the game tonight, and that Xisco won’t be in the squad despite his hat-trick for the U21s the other night.
