Game On! Newcastle v Liverpool

St James' Park.

St James' Park.
Game On at St James’ Park
It’s an early start today as Liverpool visit St James’ Park in this Saturday lunchtime encounter.

United will be keen to banish the memories of last season and the 6-0 defeat inflicted upon us by Liverpool but to do so they will need to be at their very best.

Liverpool have started the season well and occupy second spot prior to kick-off, but a point will take them top ahead of Arsenal albeit that may only be the case on a temporary basis depending on their result against Norwich at the Emirates. Anyway, it’s far too early in the season to be worrying about league position… Isn’t it?

News of injuries for both sides, some stats and facts and a history of the fixture are available to view in the match preview which was posted yesterday and can be viewed via the links at the bottom of the article. Team news, as ever, will be posted in below as and when it becomes available.

We are being shown here in the UK on the new BT Sport channel which is a first for us I believe. Overseas we’re being broadcast on a load of channels throughout the world so picking up a stream will, hopefully, be simple enough. If you do find a good one then please don’t be shy with and leave a link to it in the ‘comments’ section below.

That’s just about it really. No need to babble on any further so I’ll leave you all to “go with the flow” as it were. I just hope that we aren’t left talking about another horror show come full-time.

Howay the lads!

  2. ST – aye, the commentators are raving about Cab and he’s been good but Tiote has been huge so far this first half!. Great cover for the defence and a good captains display IMO

What happened to the Sissoko that once out paced Ashley Cole though?!

  3. Great shot from Sissoko… Come on boys. Two or three more, please.

  4. Stupidity from Mbiwa.

Fucking gutted. Played well so far.

No doubt Pardew will now get the blame 🙄

  5. Wasn’t even any need for him to get involved, just see if Krul can save it or not. Looks like we still have a defence full of brain farts.

  6. Why oh why do defenders do that? Just let them get a shot away FFS! Even if they score we still have 11 men.

  7. Toonsy-of course it’s Pardew’s fault. He’s coached all of Mbiwa’s defensive ability out of him. Or his selection put too much pressure on Mbiwa. Or something. 😐

  8. Fucking gutted about that like!. We were doing really well there.

Probably a correct sub by Pards there. Sissoko wasn’t doing much and we need to keep it tight at the back. Cabs, Remy, Benny and Goof can still grab a goal.

Gonna have to graft it the 2nd half though!.

  9. Gonna be real careful with the passing in 2nd half, don’t do any wishful or careless passing.

We still have potentially an angry cisse on bench. 😡

  10. Well that’s just how it goes for us isn’t it 👿 Mbiwa was doing so well up to that point too, what an idiot. Lets hope Colo is fit next week for scum cause Mbiwa is out now for 3 games. Poor Dummet getting a baptism of fire now ,lets hope his confidence doesn’t take a battering second half. Feel sorry for Pards you can’t foresee an idiotic action like that .

  11. Sissoko is very much the extra man in the team anyway. He probably has the least fight of our players so not too fussed. If we can have some serious graft from the side maybe someone can make some magic happen but in all honesty I hope the next 45 just flies by and we end it now

  12. Mbiwa should have knocked Suarez’s buck teeth out with that challenge in the box.. if you are going to get sent off..make it worth while!

  13. Keep the faith folks!. Liverpool only broke us down thanks to a pen in that 1st half. Before that Krul didn’t have much to do at all to be fair.

I’m gonna be fair to Mapou and say that Colo, Willo or Saylor would all have probably made the same foul – I think. The fucking Beaver is getting our CBs sent off though isn’t he!!

  14. Come on, boys, keep it together.

Is there a place of Obertan in this toward the end, with his speed to have the long outlet over the top? Or Sammy’s fresh legs & herky-jerky runs? I wonder if they’ll get a run.

  15. Tiote has been outstanding so far for me like – MOTM so far.

I like Gouffran down the right as well. He’s providing good cover for Debuchy with both getting forward.

FUCKING GOAL FROM A SET PIECE!!!!!!!!!!

    Come on!!!!!!

  16. Dummet you fucking gem goallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll 😆 take that you scouse tosspots
