Alex Pritchard
He’s played just two matches for the club but Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want upwards of £9 million for Alex Pritchard. The 23 year-old has spent much of his career out on loan in the Football League at Swindon Town and at Championship side Brentford in 2014-15. The Englishman moved on loan to West Bromwich Albion in February 2016 and made his Premier League debut for the club against Newcastle.
He can play up front, in midfield, or on the wing and could therefore cover a lot of desired areas for Newcastle. The one big hang-up is the price. While Pritchard did score an impressive 12 goals for Brentford in 2014-15, his stint at West Brom was anything but successful. He made just three league appearances for the club so the Championship seems like his level right now. You pay extra for the English Premium but £9 million still seems very steep for a player who hasn’t scored a goal in well over a year.
