As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle frontman Adam Armstrong will remain out on loan for the entirety of this season, despite the clubs current injury crisis.
Armstrong has recently extended his stay at fellow Championship club Barnsley, until the end of the season, having clearly impressed those at Oakwell with his start to this campaign.
The Chronicle reports that there has been no confirmation as to whether or not Armstrong has a recall clause in his loan contract with Barnsley, but Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is not considering recalling the young forward anyway.
Armstrong has currently racked up three goals in fourteen appearances for his current club, so far this campaign.
Not bad for someone who is still very much at the start of his career, and someone who still has a lot to learn.
Despite this, many felt that Armstrong, although still raw, would offer great cover for Newcastle, in the absence of Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
