Rafa Urges His Players to “Have Character”

As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has urged his players to “have character” for the remainder of the season.

Speaking ahead of tomorrows game against Aston Villa, Benitez said: “It’s always important for the rest of this competition, not just for that game. To react like that means we have character and passion.”

“The players care about what is going on. I think the fans should be pleased with this reaction. ”

“Hopefully we don’t need to do it every game but it has to be like that. I want to see the team playing well and showing great character on the pitch.”

However, he maintained his usual calm manner, adding: “Every game has to be the same.”

“You approach it thinking you can get three points but if you can fine. If not, it’s not the end of the world.”

Hopefully, the team can take Rafa’s comments on board and win tomorrow night.
