Jamie Carragher berated Mike Ashley for his statement regarding the Premier League’s pay-per-view scheme on Monday Night Football.
Ashley released said statement yesterday evening, in which he bizarrely called for the Premier League to scrap the pay-per-view scheme because ‘in the current climate it is not acceptable to any football fan’.
It’s bizarre when you consider that he’s still sapping NUFC fans of season ticket money, even with no return date to St James’ Park in sight. And this is the very reason for Carragher’s explosive rant – labelling the statement ‘laughable’.
As you can see above, Carragher even mentions that the pay-per-view scheme must be ‘messed up’ as even the morally corrupt Mike Ashley has a problem with it!
Carragher is absolutely spot on here, with it being pretty ironic when Mike Ashley of all people plays the ‘greedy’ card.
