NUFC star passes late fitness test & TWO left out as Bruce makes one change vs Crystal Palace

The teams are in ahead of tonight’s clash with Crystal Palace at St James’ Park, and Steve Bruce has been forced to make ONE change to the side that beat Everton 2-0 on Saturday.

Here’s the starting 11 and subs in full:

(4-3-2-1): Darlow – Manquillo, Schar, Clark Lewis – Hendrick, Hayden, Shelvey (c) – Almiron, Fraser – Wilson.

SUBS: Dubravka, Dummett, Krafth, M Longstaff, E Anderson, Saint-Maximin, Carroll, Joelinton, Gayle.

OUT – Lascelles

IN – Clark

So, Ciaran Clark return in place of our injured skipper Jamaal Lascelles, who drops out after suffering an injury in the second half on Saturday, however there’s no place in the matchday squad for Sean Longstaff and Matt Ritchie.

It’s also interesting to see that Ryan Fraser has passed a late fitness test after suffering with illness over the past few days, meaning Allan Saint-Maximin remains on the bench.

There’s no Joe Willock, but U-23 star Elliot Anderson makes the squad once again, with Jonjo Shelvey captaining the side in Lascelles’ absence.

Happy with that team, folks?
