Moussa Diaby’s stance on potential NUFC move and the €15m alternative now on offer – Report

According to new reports emerging from Germany, Moussa Diaby has “no intention” of joining Newcastle United this summer.

This comes from Patrick Berger at SPORT1 – one of the leading German news outlets – who claims that we have identified the Bayer Leverkusen winger as our ‘top target.’

The chief reporter states that we are prepared to pay €35-40m for the Frenchman. However, not only is he not sold on a potential move to St James’ Park, it’s believed his club are demanding significantly more than we’re willing to pay for the 22-year-old – valuing him around the €60m mark.

Berger then goes on to reveal that Borussia Dortmund winger Thorgan Hazard is a ‘plan B’ we could pursue if a move for Diaby goes nowhere.

Hazard – the younger brother of Eden – is said to be interesting several Premier League sides, with SPORT1 reporting that the 29-year-old Belgian will be allowed to leave for €15m.

Here’s the two tweets released by Berger – the chief writer at SPORT1 – on Friday afternoon:

  1. These people just talk absolute b0ll0cks!! They know absolutely nothing at all about who is on our shortlist!!.

Why would we share who is on our shortlist with Patrick Berger – whoever the hell he is?!?!!!

Why would this clown be in our inner circle – only for him to share our deepest secrets on twitter?!?!!!

I’d love to see Newcastle fans start challenging these g0bshite more often – and for their tweets to not be turned into an article every time!!.

    They know nothing!!.

It’s opinion at best – speculation. No more in the known than any NUFC fan having a bit of fun speculating on who we might sign – and every one of those doesn’t get an article!! Thank god!!.
