Sven Botman serenaded by fans as new signings and 5 others are spotted on Tyneside – Video

Sven Botman and Nick Pope have been spotted arriving at the club’s Benton base as they prepare to train with their new Newcastle United teammates for the first time.

The Dutchman was even greeted with a song, as Toon fans stood outside the training base chanted “Oh, baby, do you know what that’s worth? Sven Botman is the best on earth!” (watch below) to the tune of Belinda Carlisle’s 1987 classic!

Not only are our two latest recruits on Tyneside, the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Miguel Almiron and Emil Krafth are also back for pre-season after they were given an extended break following international duty.

Jeff Hendrick has returned from a spell with QPR, however he is believed to be training with the U23s alongside Dwight Gayle and Ciaran Clark – three players who look set to be moved on this summer.

Here’s a clip of Botman being serenaded by Newcastle supporters, followed by shots of Pope and our five other international players:
