NUFC star set to sign ‘bumper deal’ and two attacking targets now unlikely to arrive – talkSPORT

According to talkSPORT, Callum Wilson is ready to sign a ‘bumper new contract’ at Newcastle United.

The striker turns 31 next year but remains highly-rated by Eddie Howe, who this morning backed him to make Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad should he stay fit over the next few months.

TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook reveals that the former Bournemouth forward has recently relocated his family from the South Coast to the North East, suggesting he sees his long-term future on Tyneside.

Elsewhere, Crook claims that sources close to the club have distanced themselves from a move for Marseille’s Bamba Dieng, stating that Fulham and Everton have now entered talks with the £15m-rated 22-year-old who is also being monitored by West Ham.

Another Senegalese attacker who looks unlikely to arrive at St James’ Park is Ismaila Sarr.

The talkSPORT reporter understands that ourselves, West Ham and Manchester United are all interested in the 24-year-old winger, however Watford are reluctant to sell now Emmanuel Dennis is closing in on a move to Nottingham Forest.
