Gordon pictured in Newcastle shirt after passing medical – £45m move from Everton now imminent

Any minute now, Anthony Gordon will be announced as a Newcastle United player.

After arriving on Tyneside last night and undergoing a medical at the club’s training base this morning, pictures have now emerged of the 21-year-old talent taking pictures inside St James’ Park.

He’s been spotted in the Milburn stand, posing for photos in a black and white shirt, with Sky Sports’ Keith Downie also revealing that he’s passed a medical.

So, with a fee agreed – believed to be an initial £40m plus £5m in add-ons – personal terms sorted and a medical done, he’ll be confirmed as our second most expensive signing any moment now.

The England U21 international will become our second signing of the January transfer window after Garang Kuol’s arrival from Australia.

He will be cup-tied for Tuesday’s semi-final clash with Southampton, but could make his debut in next weekend’s Premier League clash with West Ham at St James’ Park.
