According to Mark Douglas at the ipaper, Newcastle will send Harrison Ashby out on loan if the club are successful in their pursuit of Southampton right-back Tino Livramento.
Douglas reports that a host of Championship sides have enquired about his availability, aware of the fact he could be loaned out should another right-back arrive on Tyneside.
It’s thought talks are ongoing over Livramento, with Dan Ashworth a big fan of the 20-year-old and leading the pursuit after showing previous interest during his time at Brighton.
Eddie Howe has already confirmed that Garang Kuol will head out on loan following a tough spell at Hearts, while new recruit Yankuba Minteh has already sealed a season-long switch to Dutch giants Feyenoord.
Now, it seems Ashby – who arrived from West Ham earlier this year – could be the latest Toon talent to spend a season elsewhere to hand him some much needed game time at senior level.
The 21-year-old struggled with a reoccurring injury after signing, but featured in two of our U21 games in April, bagging a goal and an assist in our 4-3 win over Norwich and playing the full 90 as our we beat Derby 4-1.
