Sky Sports: Toon target ‘on the verge’ of €30m move and Szoboszlai joins Liverpool

A few weeks ago, The Telegraph revealed that Newcastle United were set to launch a £15m bid for Wolfsburg star Felix Nmecha.

Today, the midfielder has become the latest ‘Toon target’ who looks set to end up elsewhere, as Sky Sports in Germany reveal that he’s set to join Borussia Dortmund.

They report that the former Man City talent is ‘on the verge’ of joining the Bundesliga giants for a fee in the region of €30m, adding that he was keen to remain in Germany and unsure on a return to England.

Elsewhere, Dominik Szoboszlai has sealed a move to Liverpool. The Reds activated his €70m release clause on the final day of June – hours before it was due to expire – and he’s now signed a five-year deal at Anfield.

The move is ‘subject to a work permit’, but he’s passed a medical and will become their second signing of the summer after Jurgen Klopp brought in Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister last month.
