Dan Ashworth’s exciting plan for £30m man as Newcastle push for third summer signing

Newcastle United are pushing to sign Tino Livramento; the Southampton star Dan Ashworth has tipped to have a huge future in the game.

According to NewcastleWorld, our sporting director is a huge fan of the right-back and ‘believes the player is a top England international in the making.’

It’s thought Ashworth and Howe see the 20-year-old talent as a long-term replacement for Kieran Trippier, who turns 34 next year. Livramento can also operate down either flank, offering valuable versatility ahead of a busy season at St James’ Park.

Sky Sports report that our latest offer – in the region of £30m – has been rejected, but we remain in talks to sign the player; who’s thought to be keen on a move.

Ashworth has previously worked within the FA and will be well aware of the former Chelsea talent, who has represented England at every level between Under-15 to the Under-21s.

He’s yet to be capped at senior level, but he was one of the top performing right-backs in the Premier League during the 2021/22 season, shining in his debut year at St Mary’s at the age of 18. Since then, he’s suffered an ACL injury, but the defender returned for the final two games of last season and is thought to have made a full recovery.

With pace, power, technical ability, a good engine and impressive dribbling, Livramento has huge potential and an ideal player to learn from in Kieran Trippier.

  1. Sick of hearing about this lad, we need to walk away from this as it is not worth it for a crock with limited experience.

With injury he had its a risk.
