Saint-Maximin scores on Al-Ahli debut – Watch goal here 48 hours after Newcastle exit

It hasn’t taken long for Allan Saint-Maximin to open his account for Al-Ahli.

Just a few days on from his move to the Saudi Pro League, the Frenchman scored on his first appearance for the club, making it 2-0 in a friendly with Qatari side Al-Shamal SC.

It was a trademark dribble and finish from the 26-year-old, who squared up his man, sent him the wrong way and smashed a powerful low shot into the bottom corner.

Watch the goal below, giving Newcastle fans a glimpse of what we used to see at St James’ Park when the winger was at his brilliant best:

If this clip is anything to go by, he could have some fun skinning defenders over in the Middle East!

We’d like to wish Maxi all the best following his four years on Tyneside. He was an entertainer on the pitch and seemed to be a brilliant guy off it, making time for fans, his teammates and NUFC Foodbank too.

  1. His brilliant best was never the problem.
It was his usual invisibility that was the problem.
Looks like, on his new salary he can buy every fan a watch.
