Great news for Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes ahead of Borussia Dortmund clash

Newcastle United duo Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes have both been called up to the Brazilian national team for their World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina later this month.

The first game in Colombia will be played on Friday November 17th at midnight, while the second in Brazil will kick off at 00:30am on Wednesday November 22nd; just a few days before our home clash with Chelsea on Saturday 25th.

Joelinton comes back into the team after missing out on the last squad with an injury, where as Bruno keeps his spot and will hope to start both games after breaking into the national team side in recent months.

Interestingly, the same Brazil squad features Gabriel; the Arsenal centre-back who claims to have been fouled by Joelinton in the build up to Saturday’s winner. I’d love to be a fly on the wall when both meet again in a few weeks time!

With injuries mounting up, we’ll have to hope that big Joe and Bruno come back injury free and ready to face Chelsea in what will be a quick turnaround after travelling halfway around the world.

Both fixtures could be intense with so much at stake – particularly their game against rivals Argentina – so hopefully there’s no vicious tackles towards either of our midfield stars.
