And restore it they have. Last season, Newcastle consistently held a top 5 spot, finishing the season at number 4. They won 19 of the 38 games in which they participated. They tied in 14 and only lost five. Certainly, they impressed their fans, their haters, and even casual football enthusiasts who may not have cared much for the club.

Callum Wilson honed his skills in Coventry City and AFC Bournemouth, before joining Newcastle in 2020. Ever since, he has been playing as the club’s striker, and proving that he has what it takes to compete with the best of them.
Since the 2023/24 season began, Wilson has been playing with what appears to be a newly-lit fire under his belt. He has scored seven goals thus far, and attempted to shoot 15 times. Professional analysts have given him a 98.44 rating, making him the highest rated player on the Magpies’ side. Most fans would certainly agree that he absolutely has earned his ranking.
As things stand Callum Wilson has scored the most goals for the Newcastle boys. If he can keep up the pace, or even amp things up, he might just go down in history as one of the best Newcastle players of all time. Anthony Gordon
Though Gordon might be on the younger-side, he has a decade worth of experience. Having joined Everton at age 11, Gordon has been competing with pros from a young age. One of the more recent additions to the Magpies, Gordon joined Newcastle in 2023, and already he is proving his worth.
An excellent left-winger, Gordon might just be Newcastle’s most important player currently. Thus far, he has scored four goals, and has assisted others in scoring four more in the season. Any way you dice it, Gordon is a top-rate asset to the Magpies. Which his rating reflects. At a 98.26 rating, he is second only to Callum Wilson in terms of importance to the team.
Alexander Isak
The Swedish player joined Newcastle in 2022, and quickly proved himself an invaluable asset on the football field. An excellent forward in his own right, Isak has managed to score six goals in the course of 11 games. In terms of amount of goals scored, he is second only to Callum Wilson.
Some fans might rate Alexander Isak over Anthony Gordon. However, with Gordon’s assists and playmaking capabilities, we feel he has earned a spot just over Isak. Still, that is not to detract anything from the Swedish player, as he has displayed some truly amazing skills, and has shown himself to be a perfect fit for the Magpies.
