Exciting footage of Newcastle’s first January signing – Introducing Alfie Harrison

Newcastle have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign talented 18-year-old Alfie Harrison, who is due on Tyneside to undergo a medical and pen a long term contract at the club.

Manchester born Harrison signed a scholarship with City in 2022 and has played with the U18s since then. He stands 5ft 10′ tall and is left-footed. In the 2022/23 season, Harrison featured frequently in Man City’s U18 Premier League winning campaign, scoring six goals and bagging four assists.

He has made eight appearances in the U18s Premier League this season, scoring eight and assisting four from midfield and recently broke into the Man City U21 squad, playing 65 minutes against Norwich in December. Before that, he was pictured training with Man City’s first-team back in November.

Harrison joins the the list of new young talents who have made the switch to the Magpies in recent years, with a clear focus on recruiting top teenagers after recent moves for Garang Kuol, Yankuba Minteh and Cathal Heffernan.
